Thanksgiving is a day to remember all of the blessings in our life for which we are thankful for. I work to keep this in the forefront of my mind all year for me and my daughter. I have found that when I focus on what the good things in my life; I’m in a place of gratitude and that I see the world as a much happier place.
One habit for my daughter and I is to share over dinner each night 3 good things that happened to us that day. It puts both of us in a place of appreciation for the blessings we have; it also helps for me to see the world through my daughter’s eyes and leads to wonderful conversation. I have found that no matter what happened in my life that day; I always leave the dinner table with a little more spring in my step than when I sat down.
